Abstract

: This community service activity aimed to describe the collaborative implementation of Quizizz as an evaluation medium in literacy and numeracy learning (Calistung) for children at Sanggar Bimbingan Permai Kulim, Malaysia. The activity was conducted during the Community Service Program (KKN) from July 1 to 27 2026, involving three children participating in Calistung learning. Quizizz was implemented as a collaborative evaluation activity four times, approximately once a week. The evaluation materials were adjusted to the children's learning levels and included letter recognition, letter matching, simple addition, color and number recognition using pictures, name writing, and simple reading accompanied by pictures. The activity used a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the implementation process, children's responses, and evaluation results. The results showed that the evaluation scores obtained in the four sessions were 70%, 100%, 95%, and 100%, respectively. The children also demonstrated enthusiasm and active participation during the Quizizz activities. Because the children were not allowed to bring personal smartphones, the evaluation was conducted collaboratively using one smartphone or laptop provided by the teacher or KKN students. The collaborative use of Quizizz enabled the evaluation to be conducted despite limited device availability while providing opportunities for interaction, discussion, and direct assistance. Therefore, Quizizz can be used as an alternative digital evaluation medium for Calistung learning when its implementation is adapted to children's learning needs, available facilities, and the guidance provided by educators or facilitators.
