Abstract

This development study aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and examine the practicality of printed instructional materials on integer arithmetic operations for slow learner students at SMPN 1 Sangatta Utara. Adopting a modified 4D model (Define, Design, Develop), this R&D study involved subject matter experts, media experts, mathematics teachers, a special education teacher, and five slow learner students as subjects. Data were collected using validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and observation checklists, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative percentages and qualitative feedback. The results showed that the developed teaching materials were highly feasible, scoring 84.62% and 95.38% from material experts, and 89.09% and 63.63% from media experts. Practicality tests scored 97.7%, 97.7%, and 90% from practitioners, while student responses were highly positive, indicating improved engagement and understanding of basic integer concepts. It is concluded that the developed instructional material is highly feasible and practical for inclusive mathematics instruction.
