Abstract

Quality of education is a central issue in Indonesian national development which is up to now Still becoming serious attention of various stakeholder interests (Liebowitz & Porter, 2019). In general terms, the portrait quality of Indonesian education still shows a number of gaps that need to be filled to get handled systematically and sustainably. This study aims to determine and analyze the Analysis of Principal Leadership Style in Improving Teacher Work Motivation and Performance in the Digital Era at State Vocational High School 1 Lintongnihuta. This research was conducted at State Vocational High School 1 Lintongnihuta, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra Province. The data collected in this study covers three focuses in this study, namely the principal's leadership style, teacher work motivation, and teacher performance in the context of the digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Overall, this study concludes that in the context of vocational high schools in the non-metropolitan Christian Batak region, effective principal leadership is not only determined by a technical transformational-situational approach, but must be combined with a deep understanding of the local cultural, spiritual, and infrastructure context. These three dimensions together form an ecosystem that allows teacher motivation and performance to develop sustainably in the digital era.
