<![CDATA[This paper introduces and explores the concept of Islamic Theolinguistics, an epistemological framework that examines the relationship between language, human consciousness, and Divine revelation. Contemporary linguistic and philosophical paradigms have shifted away from simple referentiality, demonstrating that language operates as a self-referential, subjective "noumenal net" independent of mere sensory perception. Animals possess perception, but understanding is uniquely linguistic; language is what constructs human identity and reality. Utilizing these modern insights as a tool for text interpretation, this study returns to the Qur'an and Hadith to investigate how the Book of God outlines the nature of language and its relation to Being and Creation—a concept historically mirrored in classical Persian literature as "the world of meaning" ('alam al-ma'na). By analyzing key Quranic verses, this paper argues that human language is rooted in a primordial, Divine teaching framework: from the initial endowment of conceptual categories ("And He taught Adam all the Names", 2:31) to the faculties of expression ("He taught him speech", 55:4) and literacy ("by the pen and what they write", 68:1). Furthermore, the study explores the ontology of creation as a timeless, linguistic act of God ("Be and it becomes", 2:117). Ultimately, Islamic Theolinguistics posits that because God is Manifest Truth (Al-Haqq), language—emanating from the Divine Will prior to physical creation—inherently carries a potential connection to its spiritual Source. This framework provides a systematic approach to reading sacred texts, aligning modern epistemology with the timeless, ontological truth embedded in Islamic revelation.]]>
