Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the accuracy and SPAN deviation characteristics of a PT-100 (385) temperature transmitter calibration in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. The calibration was performed using a Fluke 726 Precision Multifunction Calibrator as the reference instrument by simulating temperature signals over a range of 0 to 100°C. Measurements were conducted at five calibration points, corresponding to 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the measurement range, with a standard output signal of 4 to 20 mA. The results indicated a maximum deviation of -0.75% at the Upper Range Value (URV), suggesting a reduction in transmitter sensitivity due to SPAN drift. Linearity analysis demonstrated a strong relationship between temperature input and current output, with a coefficient of determination approaching unity, although systematic deviations were observed at several calibration points. Based on the ISO/IEC 17025 acceptance criterion of ±0.5%, the transmitter did not fully satisfy the required accuracy specification. Therefore, recalibration, particularly adjustment of the SPAN parameter, is recommended to improve the reliability and accuracy of the measurement system.
