Abstract

Pedestrian facilities are essential infrastructure that supports safe and comfortable walking, particularly in commercial areas. Pangeran Antasari Street in Tulungagung Regency is a one-way street dominated by commercial and service activities. Its current condition features damaged sidewalks, insufficient width, faded road markings, and a lack of facilities for people with disabilities. This study aims to (1) describe pedestrian characteristics, (2) assess the adequacy of pedestrian facilities based on applicable technical standards, (3) analyze road user satisfaction levels using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods, and (4) analyze the Level of Service (LOS) of pedestrian facilities. Data were analyzed descriptively, as well as through IPA, CSI, and LOS calculations. The results indicate that pedestrians are predominantly aged 15–24 years (50%), female (55%), those with D3/S1/S2/S3 education levels (54%), employed as workers (41%), with incomes below Rp 2.628.190 (52%), and whose travel purpose was solely to pass through or head to a culinary hub (21%). Pedestrian facilities available along this entire segment include traffic signs, street lighting, trash bins, and shade trees, whereas facilities that are absent include tactile paving for the disabled, ramps, bollards, and bus stops. User satisfaction assessment using the IPA method yielded a conformity index (Tki) of 71.8%, while the CSI method produced a score of 60.63%. The level of service (LOS) is categorized as A (excellent) based on flow, space, and ratio aspects, whereas based on the speed aspect, the LOS varies from A to E.
