Abstract

Burnout in nurses is an occupational health problem that can affect the welfare of health workers, professional performance, and the quality of hospital services. This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload, organizational support, and work-life balance as predictive factors for burnout in nurses in general hospitals. The study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by searching articles through Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria that have been set. A total of 18 relevant articles were analyzed using thematic and comparative synthesis. The results of the study showed that high workload was associated with increased burnout, while adequate organizational support and good work-life balance tended to lower the risk of burnout in nurses. These findings suggest that these three factors have an important role in explaining burnout in a multidimensional way. This research provides a conceptual basis for hospitals to develop burnout prevention strategies through workload management, strengthening organizational support, and more adaptive and sustainable work-life balance policies.
