Abstract

This study aims to identify the history and development of the Cultural Heritage Area of Padang Ranah Traditional Village and Padang Bato Nagari Sijunjung, Sijunjung Regency, which are cultural heritage villages that will be developed as cultural village tourism. The Jorong Padang Ranah Traditional Village and Tanah Bato, Nagari Sijunjung have now been included in the UNESCO world heritage alternative list. Previously, this traditional village was only a place to hold ninik mamak and nephew's grandson events. Now the Traditional Village has become one of the geoshet of the Silokek Ranch Geopark, one of Silokek Geopark's supporters. The geographical spatial unit of the Nagari Sijunjung Traditional Village Area is a representation of the Minangkabau matrilineal community village from the harmony of Koto Piliang (aristocracy) and Bodi Chaniago (democracy) who live side by side. Within this area there is a group of 77 traditional Minangkabau houses (rumah gadang) which are matrilineal-based clan symbols that still function as living monuments and are neatly arranged in one area landscape. The method used in compiling this research uses a systematic approach technique by dividing activities into four stages: the preparation stage, the inventory stage, the analysis stage, the synthesis stage, and the zoning recommendation stage. The results of this study are in the form of zoning and dividing development plans into program indications.

Abstract

Lubuk Minturun, located in Koto Tangah District, Padang City, is a potential area for development as an agrotourism destination. This area is rich in natural resources in the form of agricultural land, cool air, and the presence of a community that still maintains local wisdom values. This study aims to assess the potential and formulate a strategy for developing the Lubuk Minturun area as an educational and recreational agrotourism destination. The method used is a qualitative approach with field studies, interviews, and observations. The results show that Lubuk Minturun has agricultural tourism attractions, local cultural support, and community-based creative economic opportunities. In conclusion, with participatory and sustainable management, this area can become a leading tourist destination in Padang City.
