Abstract

This study analyzes the ecotourism demand and estimates the economic value of ecosystem services in Taman Hutan Raya Wan Abdul Rachman (Tahura WAR) using the Replacement Cost Method (RCM). The research utilizes multiple linear regression to analyze the effect of visitor income, travel cost, substitution travel cost, travel distance, and tourist attraction on ecotourism demand. The results indicate that visitor income, substitution travel cost, and tourist attraction have a positive and significant effect on ecotourism demand. Conversely, travel cost and travel distance have a negative and significant effect. Furthermore, the total estimated economic value of ecosystem services in Tahura WAR is IDR 60,756,816,107,744.00 per year. This value is dominated by climate regulation services (98.95%), followed by flood mitigation (0.92%), erosion control (0.12%), and carbon sequestration (0.01%).
