Gender equality is an important aspect in realizing a Women and Children Friendly Village (DRPPA). However, gender gaps are still found in rural areas due to patriarchal culture, gender stereotypes, and the limited understanding of the community regarding the rights of women and children. This activity aims to analyze the implementation of gender equality socialization, evaluate changes in community understanding, and identify supporting factors and obstacles. The program was carried out by KKN students 20159 UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta in RT 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 Dukuh Kemiri, Desa Kradenan, Kecamatan Trucuk, Kabupaten Klaten. The activities were carried out thru the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation using methods such as interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, question and answer sessions, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show a good response and enthusiasm from the community, as well as an increase in understanding of gender concepts, family role distribution, prevention of violence against women and children, and the fulfillment of children's rights. Participants are beginning to understand gender equality as equal rights, opportunities, and access, as well as the division of household tasks as a shared responsibility. However, patriarchal culture still influences some segments of society, necessitating continuous education and support to achieve DRPPA.
