Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students’ self-efficacy in relation to their Biology learning outcomes in Grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan during the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research is correlational in nature and employs a quantitative approach. The research method used was a survey in the form of a questionnaire. The sampling technique applied was purposive sampling, with a total sample of 72 tenth-grade students from SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan. Learning outcome data were collected through summative assessments, while self-efficacy data were obtained via a questionnaire. The self-efficacy questionnaire consisted of 40 statement items using a Likert-type scale. The correlation between variables was tested using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test, and the strength of the relationship was measured using a simple linear regression analysis. The result of the Pearson Product Moment correlation test was 0.242, indicating a positive relationship between students’ self-efficacy and their Biology learning outcomes in Grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan during the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, with a low correlation impact of 5.9 percent. Self-efficacy contributes only 5.9 percent to the learning outcome scores, suggesting that other factors also influence students’ academic performance.
