<![CDATA[Child abuse is an issue that still occurs frequently in society. Therefore, the involvement of institutions is crucial in addressing this issue. Actors such as the UPT PPA Kota Pekanbaru, the Unit PPA Polresta and the LPAI Province of Riau are involved in protecting children from violence. The involvement of multiple actors in the handling of child abuse is expected to reduce the number of cases of child abuse in the city of Pekanbaru. This study aims to describe the role of these actors in protecting children from violence in the city of Pekanbaru in 2023-2024. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data presentation, data reduction and drawing conclusions. The theory used in this study is the role theory by Jim Ife and Frank Tesoriero, with the following indicators: facilitative, educational, representative and technical. The results of the research show that the actors, i.e. UPT PPA Kota Pekanbaru, Unit PPA Polresta Pekanbaru and LPAI Province of Riau, have played their role in four indicators. Firstly, each actor has provided specialist staff to help victims overcome the cases they have experienced. Secondly, the institutions have provided facilities and resources that can be used by the victims. In the educational role, each actor also organises socialisation activities to raise public awareness of child abuse issues. In terms of the representational role, each actor collaborates through coordination, optimising the handling of cases, and in the technical role, each actor has a service mechanism that can be used by the public to report cases in their local area. However, these roles have not been carried out optimally. This can be seen from the lack of specialist staff and resources available to the institutions, as well as the insufficient number of socialisation activities for the public.
