Abstract

This study aimed to develop a needs-based discipline module design to support Guidance and Counseling services for tenth-grade students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach limited to five stages: identifying potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The participants were 50 tenth-grade students selected purposively. Data were collected using a discipline questionnaire consisting of 45 Likert-scale statements and analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The findings showed that students’ overall discipline level was categorized as moderately high, with a percentage of 61.30%. Among the indicators, academic responsibility obtained the highest percentage at 63.51%, whereas punctuality and attitudes and behavior were the lowest, each at 59.56%. These findings served as the basis for developing a module design containing materials, activities, reflection, evaluation, and follow-up components, with emphasis on aspects requiring reinforcement. The module design was subsequently validated by material, language, and media experts and revised based on their assessments and suggestions. The study produced an initial module design aligned with students’ disciplinary needs, while its practicality and effectiveness require further testing in subsequent research
