Abstract

The rapid growth of the digital economy and the evolving demands of the labor market require vocational high school (SMK) graduates to possess work readiness, entrepreneurial competencies, as well as strong communication skills and digital literacy. However, vocational education continues to emphasize hard skills, resulting in insufficient attention to soft skills development, particularly public speaking and digital marketing. A needs assessment conducted at SMK Jayawisata 2 East Jakarta revealed that students still faced limitations in professional communication, presentation skills, personal branding, and the effective use of digital media. This Community Service Program aimed to enhance students' work readiness and entrepreneurship through public speaking and digital marketing training. The program was conducted in May 2026 at Smartclass SWINS Jakarta, involving 30 students and 2 accompanying teachers. The implementation methods included needs assessment, interactive training, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and participant satisfaction questionnaires. The results showed that participants' average level of understanding increased from 56.25% to 88.50%, representing a 57.33% improvement, while the overall satisfaction rate reached 94%. These findings indicate that the training effectively enhanced communication skills, digital literacy, and personal branding, thereby supporting students' work readiness and entrepreneurial development. Practically, this program can serve as a model for strengthening soft skills and digital competencies through collaboration among schools, higher education institutions, and industry partners to better prepare graduates for the evolving labor market.
