Abstract

The development of local economies based on village potential requires accurate and easily accessible spatial data. One strategic sector in driving the village economy is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, the lack of spatial information related to the distribution of MSMEs is often an obstacle in formulating targeted policies and development strategies. This study aims to map the distribution of MSMEs in Murukan Village, Mojoagung Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, based on a Geographic Information System (GIS) and analyse their potential as a basis for formulating local economic development strategies. The method used is a descriptive approach with data collection techniques through field surveys, interviews, and documentation, which are then processed using QGIS software. The results of the study show that spatial mapping of MSMEs is able to present information on the location, type of business, and distribution of MSMEs in a visual and systematic manner. The resulting map can be used as a basis for MSME development planning, determining prioritisation of guidance, and strengthening the village's local economy in a sustainable manner.
