Abstract

Objective: This study examined the effectiveness of self-efficacy training in reducing work stress and role conflict among teachers at BOSOWA Nature School. Methods: A quantitative one-group pretest-posttest design was applied to 20 teachers selected through total sampling. The intervention comprised two sessions involving self-efficacy psychoeducation, reflection on work experiences, Points of You-based coaching conversations, group discussion, and the preparation of an action plan. Work stress and role conflict were measured using the Job Stress Scale and the Role Conflict Scale. The data were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test. Results: Following the training, the mean work-stress score decreased from 33.50 to 22.85, while the mean role-conflict score decreased from 26.20 to 19.80. The differences were statistically significant for work stress (t = 4.266; p < 0.001) and role conflict (t = 4.189; p < 0.001), with a large effect size for both variables (Cohen’s d = 0.94). Novelty: This study applies an integrated self-efficacy intervention that combines psychoeducation, reflective coaching using Points of You, peer discussion, and an action plan within a nature-school context, providing a practical psychological intervention for managing teachers’ occupational demands.
