Abstract

This study analyzes the organizational governance of public relations services and public information disclosure within the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) unit at MAN 1 Jembrana. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research examined official PPID documents, including organizational structures, decrees, standard operating procedures, public information lists, and digital service platforms. The analysis was guided by DeCenzo’s organizational theory, focusing on division of labor, organizational structure, job grouping, and digital communication channels. The findings reveal that PPID MAN 1 Jembrana has established a clear division of responsibilities among the Public Relations and Publication Team, the Website Management Team, and the PPID unit, enabling more effective information management and dissemination. Information governance is further supported through the classification of information into periodic, readily available, and immediate categories in accordance with public information disclosure regulations. The use of websites, digital service portals, and social media has also improved public access to information. Nevertheless, several transparency indicators remain underdeveloped, particularly the publication of information request reports, objection-handling data, document availability statistics, and response-time evaluations. Strengthening coordination, continuous evaluation, and human resource capacity is therefore essential to improve transparency, accountability, and professionalism in public information services.
