<![CDATA[The oral tradition of the Toba ethnic group is a rich cultural heritage but has not been widely incorporated into technology-based teaching materials. The lack of teaching materials that combine local wisdom with digital platforms is a challenge in preparing students to face the Society 5.0 era which demands mastery of digital cultural competencies. This study aims to develop teaching materials for the oral traditions of North Sumatra, especially the Toba ethnic group, by utilizing the Nearpod platform. This research is expected to improve digital culture competencies while understanding and preserving local culture. This research is also oriented towards real practices that can be integrated into the Oral Tradition of North Sumatra and the Development of AI-Based Teaching Materials courses. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The results of this study show that the assessment score of teaching materials by material experts regarding the appropriateness of content, appropriateness of presentation, and appropriateness of language is 94.6% with the category of "Very Good". The results of validation by learning design experts on the developed teaching materials are 95% with the category of "Very Good". The results of the trial of the practicality of the teaching materials in the aspects of user friendliness, attractiveness, efficiency, and benefits of the teaching materials have an average percentage of 95.8% with the category of "Very Good". The results of the product trial with aspects of digital literacy, critical thinking, digital ethics and awareness, digital learning independence, and technology adaptation, have an average percentage of 98.2% with the category of "Very Good".
