<![CDATA[This study analyzes the impact of cross-divisional communication barriers on teamwork effectiveness and operational performance at PT Gapura Angkasa, an Indonesian ground handling company. Motivated by recurring inefficiencies such as task overlap, unclear instructions, and service delays, the research aims to identify dominant communication barriers and explain their effects on team dynamics and business outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through field observations and in-depth interviews with operational and administrative staff. The findings reveal that organizational, semantic, and psychological barriers significantly hinder coordination, leading to miscommunication, duplicated work, and reduced response accuracy. These conditions directly impair operational efficiency and the quality of aviation services provided to airline partners. Additionally, weak feedback mechanisms and inadequate monitoring worsen the cycle of errors and rework. The study concludes that open and effective cross-divisional communication is a strategic necessity for operational success in ground handling services. Practically, these findings imply that management must urgently reform communication systems to maintain service reliability and competitiveness. Consequently, it is recommended that management implement a mandatory re-confirmation system for work instructions, cultivate a two-way communication culture, and strengthen monitoring of task follow-ups to reduce barriers and enhance both teamwork and productivity.]]>
