Abstract

Development of the agribusiness ecosystem in rural areas faces various challenges, including climate uncertainty, pest attacks, and low technology adoption by the younger generation. This community service program, conducted through the PPK ORMAWA HIMATIKA, aims to transform traditional farming patterns into a precision agriculture system by implementing greenhouse smart farming technology for premium melon cultivation in Gumawang Village. The method used is a Mixed Methods approach, combining quantitative data through questionnaires and production observations, with qualitative data through in-depth interviews with 50 millennial farmer partners. The results show that melon production in a 500 m² open field averages 400-600 fruits with an income of IDR 8-10 million per planting season, whereas using greenhouse smart farming, production reaches 600–900 fruits with an income of IDR 16–18 million. The evaluation revealed that 73% of partners expressed high satisfaction with this technology due to its operational efficiency, although the initial investment cost remains a challenge. In conclusion, greenhouse smart farming has proven capable of increasing the productivity and income of millennial farmers by up to 77%, and it serves as a catalyst for the regeneration of modern agribusiness in the village.
