<![CDATA[ABSTRACT Public figures’ interactions on TikTok present a pragmatic issue when the intentions conveyed through their utterances are not always interpreted uniformly by audiences. Differences in interpretation can be seen in netizens’ comments, which may reinforce, question, or redirect the meaning of the messages conveyed. This issue provides the basis for examining the forms of illocutionary speech acts on the TikTok account @gibran_rakabuming, the perlocutionary responses of netizens, and the relationship between the two within a single communicative event. The study employed a pragmatic approach and a descriptive qualitative method to examine utterances in posts and related comments published from February to April 2026. Data were collected through non-participant observation and documentation, then analyzed through identification, classification, interpretation, and presentation according to the communicative context. The findings revealed four forms of illocutionary speech acts, namely assertives, directives, expressives, and commissives, while perlocutionary responses were categorized into support and agreement, criticism and rejection, and humor and sarcasm. Their relationship indicates that netizens’ responses do not emerge automatically from the speaker’s intentions but are shaped by the context and audience interpretation. These findings position public figures’ communication on TikTok as a pragmatic process in which meaning is continually negotiated through the interaction between utterances and audience responses within the digital sphere. ABSTRAK Interaksi tokoh publik di TikTok menghadirkan persoalan pragmatik ketika maksud yang dibangun melalui tuturan tidak selalu diterima audiens dalam pemaknaan yang seragam. Perbedaan penafsiran tersebut tampak melalui komentar warganet yang dapat memperkuat, mempertanyakan, atau mengubah arah makna pesan yang disampaikan. Persoalan ini menjadi dasar penelitian untuk mengkaji bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi pada akun TikTok @gibran_rakabuming, respons perlokusi warganet, serta keterkaitan keduanya dalam satu peristiwa komunikasi. Kajian dilakukan dengan pendekatan pragmatik dan metode deskriptif kualitatif terhadap tuturan dalam unggahan dan komentar yang berkaitan selama Februari–April 2026. Data diperoleh melalui observasi nonpartisipan dan dokumentasi, kemudian ditelaah melalui identifikasi, klasifikasi, interpretasi, dan penyajian sesuai konteks komunikasi. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan empat bentuk ilokusi, yakni asertif, direktif, ekspresif, dan komisif, sedangkan respons perlokusi terbagi menjadi dukungan dan persetujuan, kritik dan penolakan, serta humor dan sindiran. Keterkaitan keduanya memperlihatkan bahwa respons warganet tidak terbentuk secara otomatis dari maksud penutur, melainkan dipengaruhi konteks dan penafsiran audiens. Temuan ini menempatkan komunikasi tokoh publik di TikTok sebagai proses pragmatik yang maknanya terus dinegosiasikan melalui interaksi antara tuturan dan respons audiens dalam ruang digital.]]>
