CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMAGE OF ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS THROUGH THE LEADERSHIP OF KIAIS BASED ON ISLAMIC VALUES This study aims to describe value-based kiai leadership in building the institutional image at the Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School in Karawang. Kiai leadership plays a strategic role in determining the direction of the boarding school’s development, shaping organizational culture, and enhancing public trust in Islamic educational institutions. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that kiai leadership at the Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School in Karawang is carried out based on Islamic values, including tawhid, amanah, musyawarah, ihsan, justice, responsibility, and exemplary conduct. These values are applied in the management of the pesantren, the guidance of students, and social relations with the community, thereby fostering a religious and disciplined pesantren culture. Efforts to build the institution’s image are carried out through improving the quality of education, strengthening student discipline, active participation in social and religious activities, and maintaining good communication with the community. Kiai leadership grounded in these values has proven effective in reinforcing the boarding school’s image as a high-quality, integrity-driven Islamic educational institution that is trusted by the community.
