Abstract

A company is established with a purpose that must be fulfilled. To fulfill that purpose, the company is expected to pay attention to work aspects related to human resources, one of which is job satisfaction. As occurred at the Rukun Ikhtiar Cooperative in Bandung City, based on absenteeism data there are still cashiers who do not come to work for various reasons such as unexcused absence, permitted leave, and illness. One factor that can affect job satisfaction is workload. This research aims to determine the workload and its impact on the job satisfaction of cashiers at the Rukun Ikhtiar Cooperative in Bandung City. The method in this research uses a qualitative method, using data collection methods in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The number of informants in this research is 6 cashiers of the Rukun Ikhtiar Cooperative in Bandung City. The data validity test used is triangulation. The results of this research show that workload is at a high category and job satisfaction is at a low category. In addition, workload has an impact on the job satisfaction of Rukun Ikhtiar Cooperative cashiers in Bandung City, meaning that the higher the workload, the more it will impact the decrease in cashier job satisfaction.
