<![CDATA[The Village Development Index (Indeks Desa Membangun/IDM) serves as Indonesia’s primary instrument for measuring village progress and self-reliance across three resilience dimensions: social, economic, and environmental. Despite aggregate improvements in village status, inter-regional disparities persist, necessitating systematic acceleration strategies. This study aims to identify and analyze IDM indicator acceleration strategies using the PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) framework. The study population encompasses Indonesian villages classified as underdeveloped to developing. Analyzed interventions include village fund optimization, strengthening village governance, basic infrastructure development, human resource capacity building, and information technology utilization. Comparisons were made between villages experiencing significant IDM status improvements and those remaining stagnant. A systematic literature review was conducted on 50 scientific articles published between 2019–2026. Findings indicate that the most effective acceleration strategies encompass: (1) synergizing village fund management with IDM-based planning, (2) strengthening village head leadership as stabilizers and modernizers, (3) enhancing collaborative stakeholder participation, and (4) developing information and communication technology infrastructure.
