Abstract

One of the essential competencies that teachers must possess to foster 21st-century skills is the mastery of technology, pedagogy (teaching methods), and content (subject matter), known as TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge). TPACK is a conceptual framework that integrates knowledge about technology, pedagogy, and content to design and deliver effective instruction, especially in the digital era. The content delivered can incorporate local culture, making the instruction more effective and easily accepted by students. Recognizing the importance of teachers mastering technology and being skilled in using local culture-based learning media, the Community Service (PKM) team felt it necessary to organize a PKM activity to provide a platform for mathematics teachers in Rote Ndao to develop ethnomathematics and technology-based learning media. This training was provided to 40 mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Lobalain Rote Ndao on August 1, 2025. The methods used in this training were lectures and demonstrations. Four materials were delivered, namely: (1) the role of culture in mathematics along with ideas for elementary school mathematics concepts based on local culture; (2) the exploration of cultural activities related to school mathematics concepts in the form of integrating Rote Ndao ethnomathematics into mathematics instruction; (3) GeoGebra training as a 3D and Augmented Reality-based learning media; and (4) Wayground Quizizz training as a learning evaluation media. Evaluation results indicate that participants were highly satisfied (84.21%) and satisfied (15.79%). This demonstrates that the PKM activity proceeded successfully, in line with the team's expectations.
