<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the concept of laghw in the Qur'an based on the interpretation of KH. Bisri Musthofa in Tafsir al-Ibriz and to examine its relevance to digital communication ethics in the era of social media. This research is motivated by the increasing use of social media, which has generated various forms of communication and content consumption that are not always beneficial. In the Qur'an, such phenomena can be examined through the concept of laghw, which refers to speech, actions, or activities that are vain, futile, and devoid of meaningful benefit. study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach and utilizes the thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu‘i) method. The primary data consist of Qur'anic verses containing the term laghw and their interpretations in Tafsir al-Ibriz. Secondary data are obtained from classical and contemporary tafsir literature, books, scholarly articles, and previous studies related to the concept of laghw, Nusantara tafsir, and digital communication ethics. The data are analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach through the processes of collection, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of the relevant verses in order to formulate a comprehensive understanding of the concept. The findings indicate that laghw in Tafsir al-Ibriz is not merely understood as vain or useless speech, but also encompasses all forms of activities that provide no benefit for one's worldly and spiritual life. KH. Bisri Musthofa emphasizes avoiding laghw as an essential characteristic of a true believer. This concept bears significant relevance to digital communication ethics, particularly in the use of social media, by encouraging users to avoid spreading unbeneficial information, engaging in unproductive debates, and consuming distracting or meaningless content. Therefore, the Qur'anic concept of laghw as interpreted in Tafsir al-Ibriz can serve as an ethical foundation for fostering responsible, constructive, and value-oriented digital communication practices.]]>
