Abstract

Effective financial management is essential for improving business governance and supporting the sustainability of home-based industries. However, the Segupicil Home Industry in Woro Village, Kragan District, Rembang Regency still relied on manual financial records, resulting in limited access to structured financial information for business management. This community service program aimed to optimize business management through the implementation of the Smart Financial application. The program was conducted using a participatory approach involving training, application implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. Program evaluation employed pretest-posttest, participant satisfaction questionnaires, observations, and measurements of financial recording efficiency. The results demonstrated an increase in participants' financial management knowledge, reflected by an improvement in the average score from 48.22 to 86.22, with a significant difference between pretest and posttest (p 0.001). The application also reduced the time required for financial recording from 40–60 minutes to 10–15 minutes and received participant satisfaction scores above 90% across all evaluation indicators. Furthermore, the implementation of Smart Financial supported more systematic financial recording, automated financial reporting, and better business administration. This program demonstrates that integrating training, digital technology implementation, and mentoring can strengthen financial management practices and support the sustainability of home-based industries.
