Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the complex training method on lower limb power in pencak silat athletes. This study employed a quantitative approach using a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The participants consisted of 10 pencak silat athletes from SPA Cimahi, aged 17–19 years, selected through purposive sampling. The complex training program was conducted for 6 weeks with a frequency of three training sessions per week. Lower limb power was assessed using the Vertical Jump Test. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.004 (p < 0.05), indicating that the complex training method had a significant effect on improving lower limb power in pencak silat athletes. Therefore, complex training can be considered an effective training method for improving lower limb power in pencak silat athletes.
