Abstract

Fish of the genus Tor are endemic to Indonesia which are threatened with extinction. The purpose of this research is to describe spinal morphometric studies of four types of Genus Tor in Indonesia. All data from the spine measurements of the four fish of the Tor genus were processed using the Microsoft Excel program. Data are presented in the form of mean ± standard deviation, and the smallest and largest values. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that T. douronensis, T. tambroides, T. soro, T. tambra showed significant differences in the number of centrums. T. tambroides and T. douronesis had 40 centrums, while T. soro had 39 and T. tambra had 41 centrums. The more the number of centrum fish eat, the longer the morphology of the fish's body. In the ratio of length to width, length and height, it can be seen that tor tambroides has a higher ratio value than the other three.
