<![CDATA[This study aimed to examine the role of traditional masculinity in attitudes toward seeking professional mental health services, with gender role conflict as a mediating variable among early adult men. Attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help are defined as an individual’s evaluative tendency toward seeking professional assistance to address psychological problems. A quantitative research design with an online survey approach was employed. The sample consisted of 168 men aged 18–29 years. Data were collected using the Inventory of Attitudes Toward Seeking Mental Health Services, the Male Role Norms Inventory–Short Form, and the Gender Role Conflict Scale–Short Form. Data analysis was conducted using mediation regression with a bootstrapping method. The results indicated that traditional masculinity had a significant direct effect on attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help before gender role conflict was included in the model (R = 0.2336; R² = 0.0546; p = 0.0023). However, after gender role conflict was entered into the model, the direct effect of traditional masculinity became non-significant (t = 0.9381; p = 0.3496; LLCI = -0.0543; ULCI = 0.1527). Traditional masculinity was found to have a significant positive effect on gender role conflict (R = 0.7883; R² = 0.6215; p < 0.001). Furthermore, gender role conflict had a significant negative effect on attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help (t = -3.6963; p < 0.05; LLCI = -0.5335; ULCI = -0.1620). These findings indicate that gender role conflict mediates the relationship between traditional masculinity and attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help.]]>
