General Background Character education serves as a fundamental foundation for developing adaptive, tolerant, and holistic personalities among young generations in national education systems. Specific Background This descriptive qualitative study investigates the application of multicultural character education among teachers and students at Muhammadiyah elementary schools in Sidoarjo Regency. Knowledge Gap Although multicultural character education is crucial for fostering inclusivity, its practical integration often faces challenges regarding teacher readiness, student literacy limitations, and managing diverse social dynamics. Aims This study aims to analyze how multicultural character education is applied through daily school initiatives to promote moral and social development. Results Utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis, the findings demonstrate that programs such as congregational prayers, Quran literacy initiatives, extracurricular activities, polite greeting traditions, and inclusive education effectively foster empathy, integrity, and tolerance among students. Novelty This study highlights that synergy among schools, families, and communities creates a practical social laboratory that translates theoretical multicultural concepts into everyday student behaviors. Implications These insights suggest that enhancing teacher competency and stakeholder collaboration are critical for the sustainable operation of character education aligned with Pancasila values. Highlights: Congregational prayers and Qur'an literacy programs effectively build student discipline, spiritual awareness, and mutual respect within a diverse environment. Inclusive school policies, flexible learning groups, and greeting traditions successfully cultivate social manners, unity, and tolerance.
