Abstract

The Qur'an is a linguistic miracle whose beauty can be traced through the science of balāghah, particularly badīʻ, which examines the beauty of wording and meaning. This article analyzes the linguistic style of Surah An-Najm from two dimensions, namely muhassināt lafẓiyyah (beauty of wording) and muhassināt maʻnawiyyah (beauty of meaning), drawing on the theoretical frameworks of al-Akhdari and Ali Jarim.. This study employs a descriptive-qualitative library research method, with primary data taken from the verses of Surah An-Najm and secondary data from classical balāghah and exegetical works. Data analysis follows the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that Surah An-Najm contains 12 verses with sajaʻ style (8 mutarraf and 4 mutawāzī), 11 verses with jinās style (4 tām mutamātsil, 1 tām mustaufī, and 7 isytiqāq), and 8 verses with ṭibāq style (7 ījāb and 1 salab). These findings confirm that the phonetic and semantic beauty of the surah reinforces its theological message while providing tangible evidence of the Qur'an's linguistic inimitability, appreciable both aesthetically and substantively.
