Abstract

Humans basically have a tendency towards actions that favor virtuous values, but in the process of development, humans are greatly influenced by their environment. Allah Himself has outlined that within humans there are tendencies in two directions, namely actions that deviate from the rules and those that obey the rules. Apart from having the tendencies mentioned above, humans also have the freedom to choose between two paths, namely the right and the wrong. Therefore, humans can make mistakes in choosing and evaluating good actions, due to lack of knowledge and environmental factors. Considering the possibility of human error or error in choosing and evaluating good deeds, Allah teaches humans about goodness by mentioning and informing them through the Koran which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in several terms. Among these terms is the word ihsan and other terms. To go more deeply into the Qur'an's insight into ihsan, this paper will discuss the Qur'an's insight into ihsan or goodness.
