The TPPO cases occurring in Maumere, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, face unique challenges due to geographic, social, and economic factors. This article aims to analyze the TPPO handling process in Maumere in depth, evaluate its compliance with human rights principles, and identify obstacles and existing solutions. In writing this article, the author used qualitative methods with literature review techniques. The results indicate that the handling of TPPO cases in Maumere has been carried out in accordance with legal provisions, but in several aspects, it still does not fully comply with human rights principles, particularly regarding victim protection, fulfillment of the right to justice, and rehabilitation of victims.
