Abstract

The alleged case of technology-facilitated sexual harassment at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia (FH UI), demonstrates that an academic environment does not automatically become a safe and dignified space. This article analyzes the case from the perspective of Pancasila’s humanitarian values, particularly the second principle, “just and civilized humanity”, while also relating it to the other four principles of Pancasila. The research applies normative legal research and literature study using conceptual, statutory, and case approaches based on open sources. The discussion finds that digital sexual harassment should not be reduced to private joking because it contains objectification, humiliation, and potential revictimization. The causes include power relations, patriarchal culture, normalization of sexual jokes, weak legal and digital ethics literacy, and insufficient prevention and reporting mechanisms. The proposed solutions include strengthening Pancasila education centered on human dignity, developing anti-violence campus culture, implementing safe victim-centered reporting, enforcing accountable sanctions, and ensuring psychological, academic, and social recovery for victims. The article emphasizes that Pancasila’s humanitarian values must be practiced through campus governance that protects victims and prevents recurrence.
