Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the interaction between soybean varieties and the dosage of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth and yield of several soybean varieties (Glycine max (L.) Merrill). The research was conducted at the experimental field of Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi Medan, Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The method used was a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), consisting of two factors with three replications. The first factor was soybean variety, namely Dering 1, Devon 1, and Dega 1, while the second factor was the dosage of goat urine POC, namely 0 ml, 400 ml, and 800 ml. The observed data were further tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the combination of Devon 1 variety with a POC dosage of 400 ml (K1) produced more consistent and uniform growth compared to Dering 1 and Dega 1 varieties. This superiority was evident in parameters such as plant height, number of productive branches, flowering age, number of pods per sample, dry seed weight per sample, dry seed weight per plot, and root length. The selection of Devon 1 variety combined with a 400 ml POC dosage can be recommended as an effective cultivation strategy to optimize soybean growth and yield while improving soil fertility.
