Abstract

Digital transformation has brought significant changes to the world of education, including the learning methods and lifestyles of students. On one hand, digital technology facilitates access to information and supports the learning process; on the other hand, it poses challenges in character building and maintaining students' spiritual well-being. This study aims to explain how students' spiritual well-being changes during the era of digital transformation, identify the factors influencing this condition, and explore the methods that can be applied in the teaching and learning process to enhance and strengthen their spiritual well-being. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling, specifically targeting students who directly experience the impacts of digital technology in their daily lives and learning processes. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. This model consists of three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The trustworthiness of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that students' spiritual well-being in the era of digital transformation continuously undergoes changes and development. While digital technology can assist in the learning process, excessive use can lead to a lack of self-reflection, decreased quality of relationships with others, and a loss of understanding regarding spiritual values. Spiritual well-being is influenced by various factors, such as family conditions, school environment, peers, and the frequency of digital technology usage. Enhancing spiritual well-being can be achieved by integrating spiritual values into the learning process, character building, reflective practices, and the ethical use of digital technology. Therefore, collaboration among schools, teachers, and families is required to support the development of students who not only excel academically but also possess well-rounded spiritual growth in facing various challenges in the digital era.
