Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are central to Indonesia's rural economy, yet many still struggle with product innovation, financial management, and basic legal compliance. This community service program aimed to strengthen MSMEs in Situ Udik Village, Bogor, through integrated training on cost accounting and financial record-keeping, local product innovation using a citra karsa branding approach, and step-by-step assistance in obtaining home food industry production permits (SPP-IRT). The program used a participatory approach, comprising three main training sessions and two online monitoring and evaluation meetings. Activities included workshops on calculating the cost of goods manufactured (COGM) and break-even point (BEP), hands-on practice with simple spreadsheets, Canva-based packaging design that integrates local cultural identity, and guidance on SPP-IRT requirements and documentation. The results show that participants improved their ability to calculate COGM and BEP, prepare simple financial records, design more attractive packaging, and understand the administrative and technical steps for SPP-IRT registration. The program demonstrates that combining appropriate technology, contextualized training, and sustained mentoring can enhance MSMEs' competitiveness and readiness to access broader markets while contributing to SDGs 8, 9, and 12.
