Abstract

Students still have difficulty in understanding material that requires conceptual understanding. This is evident from the low participation of students in asking and answering teacher questions in class. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the effect of the Jigsaw Cooperative Model oriented to Tri Kaya Parisudha on science learning outcomes. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a population of 71 fifth-grade elementary school students, and the sample was taken using a random sampling technique with a lottery method, with a system without replacement, so that the same class cannot be selected again, resulting in a total sample of 48 students. The data collection method for this study uses a test. The research instrument is an objective test of science learning outcomes using multiple-choice questions with four answer options. Data analysis techniques in the study are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The study results show significant differences in science learning outcomes between students who participate in learning with the Jigsaw Cooperative Model oriented to Tri Kaya Parisudha and the conventional model, with a significance value (0.000 <0.05). This indicates that the Jigsaw Cooperative Model oriented to Tri Kaya Parisudha is more effective in improving science learning outcomes. It was concluded that the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Model oriented to Tri Kaya Parisudha can improve the science learning outcomes of elementary school students.
