Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze and describe the empirical effect of utilizing digital learning media on the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students in Social Studies (IPS) at SMP Negeri 1 Telaga. Employing an explanatory quantitative design to examine causal relationships, primary data were gathered using structured questionnaires distributed to 71 respondents. These respondents were drawn from a total population of 238 students via Slovin’s formula and a proportional random sampling technique. The collected data were modeled using simple linear regression analysis, preceded by prerequisite tests including validity, reliability, and normality tests. The partial hypothesis test (t-test) demonstrates that digital learning media has a positive and statistically significant effect on student learning outcomes, evidenced by a t-count of 8.068 (greater than the t-table of 1.667) and a significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test indicates an R-Square value of 0.485, confirming that 48.5% of the variance in learning outcomes is explained by the adoption of digital media, while the remaining 51.5% is attributed to external factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings highlight the critical importance of integrating interactive information technology to optimize instructional effectiveness, boost student motivation, and enhance academic competence.
