Abstract

To synthesize graphene nanosheet (GNS) using coconut shell as a basic material. The synthesis process involves two play stagesof initial roasting at 220 °C and pyrolysis at 500 °C. After the pyrolysis process, the synthesis results were analyzed using SEM andEDX to characterize the morphology and elemental composition of the resulting graphene nanosheets. Observations via SEM show a thin layer structure typical of graphene while EDX analysis confirms the dominance of carbon elements, indicating success in graphene formation. The results of the electrical conductivity work test were carried out to determine the DHL produced with a voltage of 40 V producing DHL 42.925, a voltage of 44V DHL 40.954, a voltage of 48 V DHL 36.875, a voltage of 51 V DHL 34.784, a voltage of 55 V DHL 33,290, it was found that the smaller the voltage used, the greater the electrical conductivity produced and the greater the voltage used, the smaller the electrical conductivity produced. The results of this research show that coconut shell can be an effective and environmentally friendly alternative material in graphene production, with a relatively simple and cheap synthesis method.
