Abstract

The sustainability of Sundanese cultural heritage is increasingly challenged by declining regeneration of craftsmen and the absence of systematic production management. Wayang Golek, as one of Indonesia's traditional cultural products, is generally produced through conventional methods that rely heavily on craftsmen's experience without structured project planning and control. Consequently, production duration becomes uncertain, project scheduling is inefficient, and resource allocation is difficult to manage. Previous studies on Wayang Golek have predominantly focused on cultural preservation, performing arts, and educational aspects, while studies integrating project management approaches into traditional cultural industries remain limited. This study aims to develop a project management model for Wayang Golek production using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT). The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach through field observations, interviews with craftsmen, and project activity analysis. Project scheduling is structured using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), network planning, CPM, and PERT to determine critical activities and estimate project completion time. The expected outcome is a project management model capable of improving production planning effectiveness while maintaining the cultural values embedded in Wayang Golek craftsmanship. This research is expected to contribute to industrial engineering applications in cultural industries and provide a new perspective on integrating project management into cultural conservation.
