Specific Background This research investigates the role and operational steps of principal academic supervision in promoting student wellbeing at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Porong. Knowledge Gap Previous literature lacks detailed qualitative assessments regarding how structured principal supervision frameworks directly coordinate with student emotional satisfaction and learning fulfillment in secondary settings. Aims This research aims to analyze the role and identify the steps of the principal's academic supervision in improving student wellbeing at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Porong. Results The qualitative findings reveal that instructional supervision operates through systematic planning, classroom observation, and evaluation, successfully establishing conducive learning conditions where the majority of teachers and students reach favorable achievement levels. Novelty The integration of customized student wellbeing survey instruments within a three-stage supervisory model bridges pedagogical quality control with adolescent emotional health metrics. Implications These findings indicate that optimized academic supervision serves as an essential administrative mechanism for driving instructional excellence and securing sustainable student welfare.
