Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at the Center for the Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in the Building and Electrical Sector (BBPPMPV BBL) Medan, particularly in the General Affairs and Administration Unit (Tata Usaha dan Rumah Tangga). The partner faced a problem in which the process of submitting requests for maintenance and procurement of office facilities and infrastructure was still carried out manually using paper forms, causing risks of misplaced, damaged, or lost documents and inefficient data management. This activity aimed to design and implement a website-based information system that could replace the manual paper-based process. A qualitative method was used through observation, interviews, and literature review, while the system was developed using the Waterfall method covering requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The resulting system provides features for submitting maintenance request forms, viewing and managing facility data, tracking submission history and approval status, and a contact feature, along with an administrator panel to verify and update submission status. This system helps the partner reduce the risk of document loss, simplify data search and management, and support more transparent and accountable administrative processes at BBPPMPV BBL Medan.
