Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped workplace practices and increased the importance of employee motivation, engagement, and productivity, particularly in digital marketing environments. This study aims to examine how work motivation contributes to employee productivity through employee engagement and how leadership and organizational culture support this relationship. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA framework to identify and synthesize relevant scholarly literature published between 2015 and 2025. The findings indicate that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation provide important foundations for employee engagement, while engagement functions as a central mechanism that translates motivational resources into sustained productivity. Digital transformation further emphasizes the need for adaptability, continuous learning, and supportive work environments. Entrepreneurial leadership strengthens motivation and engagement by encouraging autonomy, innovation, and learning, while organizational culture supports psychological safety, collaboration, and sustained performance. Overall, productivity in the digital marketing era depends on the integration of motivational, psychological, leadership, cultural, and technological factors.
