Supply chain management is a strategic field that coordinates material, information, financial, and relational flows across firms in order to create value for customers and stakeholders. Contemporary supply chains operate under conditions of uncertainty stemming from global disruptions, digital transformation, sustainability pressures, geopolitical risks, and changing customer expectations. This article reviews the literature on supply chain management using a structured narrative literature review. The review synthesizes foundational and recent studies related to supply chain integration, digital supply chains, resilience, agility, sustainability, circularity, risk management, and performance. The findings indicate that effective supply chain management depends on the interaction between interorganizational integration, information visibility, technological capability, collaborative governance, and dynamic capabilities. Digital technologies such as analytics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, blockchain, and digital twins can improve visibility and decision-making, but their value depends on organizational readiness, data quality, trust, and alignment with strategy. Resilience and sustainability have also become central themes, shifting supply chain management from efficiency-oriented coordination toward viability, adaptability, and responsible value creation. This article proposes an integrative conceptual framework linking strategic orientation, supply chain integration, digital capabilities, dynamic capabilities, sustainability practices, and supply chain performance. The review contributes by organizing fragmented supply chain management themes into a coherent model and by offering future research directions for empirical studies in emerging-market and organizational contexts.
