Abstract

The rapid growth of the specialty coffee industry has increased the demand for greater transparency and efficiency throughout the supply chain. However, the operational processes at Bodjongwaroe Origin still rely heavily on conventional manual record-keeping using paper-based documents and notebooks. This manual approach increases the risk of inventory inaccuracies, potential asset loss, and delays in the flow of operational information from upstream to downstream activities, ultimately hindering timely business decision-making. Effective information technology (IT) governance is essential to align business operational strategies with technology adoption. COBIT 2019 is a comprehensive global framework for evaluating, designing, and implementing IT governance tailored to an organization's characteristics. Implementing an information system based on the COBIT 2019 domain model can provide an effective solution for improving operational management while mitigating existing risks. This study focuses on the operational activities of Bodjongwaroe Origin, with particular emphasis on the implementation of IT governance. A descriptive quantitative research method was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the COBIT 2019 Design Toolkit, while capability levels were assessed based on the ISO/IEC 33000 standard and supported by gap analysis. The results indicate that the priority domains for implementation are DSS01 (Manage Operations) and APO12 (Manage Risk). Based on these findings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and a cloud-based information system developed using Python Streamlit were designed to support operational management and risk management. The developed system provides real-time information, improves data accuracy, and enhances monitoring and decision-making processes. The implementation of an information system based on the COBIT 2019 domain model has improved the IT governance capability level at Bodjongwaroe Origin. This improvement is reflected in more structured, transparent, and integrated operational processes, thereby supporting the organization's long-term business sustainability.
