Back pain is a physiological complaint that is often felt by pregnant women in the third trimester due to changes in posture, increased body weight, and shifting the center of gravity as the fetus grows. This condition is aggravated by an increase in relaxant hormones that make the pelvic ligaments stretch so that the pressure on the lumbar area increases. Non-pharmacological treatment is needed to be safe for the mother and fetus, one of which is through prenatal gentle yoga which is believed to increase muscle flexibility and relax back tension. This study aims to analyze the effect of prenatal gentle yoga on the reduction of back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester in the working area of the Akelamo Inpatient Health Center. The design used was a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest with 25 respondents selected through purposive sampling techniques. The level of pain was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and data analysis was carried out by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test because the data was not distributed normally. The results showed that the average pain score before the intervention of 5.08 decreased significantly to 0.04 after the intervention, with 96% of respondents no longer feeling pain. The statistical test produced an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000 (p<0.05), which proves that there is a significant difference between the conditions before and after treatment. It can be concluded that prenatal gentle yoga is effective in reducing back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester, so that it can be used as an alternative to non-pharmacological interventions in antenatal services at the health center.
