Abstract

This research aims to understand how a curriculum based on the values of compassion can support the formation of students' emotional resilience. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA protocol by searching the Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and SINTA databases (publication period 2021–2026). Of the 214 articles identified, 38 sources including reputable scientific journals, education policy reports, and field studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study showed three main findings: (1) students' emotional resilience increased significantly when they felt accepted, heard, and valued consistently in the learning process; (2) teachers play a key role through responsiveness and the ability to build a sense of relational security; and (3) an inclusive school environment and well-being-oriented leadership are prerequisites for the sustainability of this approach, especially for students from vulnerable groups. However, its implementation is still constrained by the pressure of the academic system, teacher workload, and lack of affective mentoring training. Based on the synthesis of these findings, this study offers a new pedagogical framework called the Compassion-Integrated Resilience Framework (CIRF), which integrates the principles of a love-based curriculum with strategies to strengthen emotional resilience at the level of classroom interaction, learning environment design, and school policy so as to go beyond just a literature summary and provide operational guidance for education practitioners.
