Abstract

Public Street Lighting using hybrid power station has become alternative energy which is environmentally friendly as it empowers renewable and unlimited energy from nature exactly from the sun and wind. Juanda area, located on Tambak Cemandi road in Sedati Sidoarjo, is an open road where many salt farmers do their works there and use the wind energy to spin the turbine. Thus, it is expected that the wind will work optimally in the turbine. This simulation used totally 640 watts and had turned on for 11 hours/day. Accordingly, the required energy was 7.040 Wh. The hybrid power station was strung by buck boost converter method. The results of simulation using software PSIM 9.0.3 demonstrated that the total power generated by Hybrid power station could be used for filling the accumulator 12 V 600 Ah for 9 hours. Moreover, it could be used for turning on the Public Street Lighting having 6965.64 Wh. In sum, this simulation obtained total efficiency 96.74%.
